Being one of the best educational institutions in Turkey, Darüşşafaka Schools are also a home and family for their students. Arranged on the basis of this understanding, our dormitories cover all personal and social needs of our students.
Dormitories for boys and girls are located in two separate buildings and have a combined capacity of 1.000 students, offering a healthy, happy, and peaceful environment to students.
One principal, one assistant principal, one weekend manager, 29 residential teachers, two dorm moms, and three night watchmen work at the boys’ dormitory; the girls’ dormitory, on the other hand, has one assistant principal, one weekend manager, 19 residential teachers, two dorm moms, and three night watchmen.
While students from Istanbul spend their weekends with their families, students from faraway cities of Turkey live on campus all days of the week. Scheduled studies in the evening are conducted at the school building. Every evening, university prep studies for 12th graders are carried out with the support of university prep staff at the four study halls located within the dormitories.
Having three cafeterias separately for secondary school and high school students, our dormitories have heating, air conditioning, and hot water around the clock.
Dormitories have an atrium area for our students’ group activities. There is also a balloon hall and an outdoor basketball court.
The boys’ dormitory serves our students with 18 general study halls, individual study rooms, a fitness room, and a computer room.
The boys’ dormitory has also four resting rooms where students can watch TV in their free time.
On the other hand, the girls’ dormitory serves our students with 16 general study halls, individual study rooms, a fitness room, and a computer room.
The girls’ dormitory also has four resting rooms where students can watch TV in their free time.
There is a 24-hour infirmary with 36 beds in order to follow our students’ health conditions. The infirmary has one physician, five nurses, and a medical secretary. A school psychiatrist and dentist visiting the campus on certain days also serve our students.
